We’re humans, and there is already enough automation in the process. I’m not interested in turning my work into a frictionless product. If I did, I’d strip away the meaning and the feeling that make the piece alive.

You make this practice important. I love seeing artworks spark connection—sometimes even a chance to change yourself through interaction. I still remember my first commissioned piece, the one I didn’t want to make. It was later gifted, and the emotions it created were far stronger than I thought possible. That experience clarified why I do this. I exhibited drawing robots for years before selling. The robot starts the conversation—then we continue it.
