Robots do art,
people create

As an artist-engineer, my work exists at the confluence of robotics and artistry, a reflection of our rapidly digitalizing world. My journey in art is deeply intertwined with technology, where I use robotics not just as tools but as integral elements of my creative expression.

Each installation I create is more than a display; it’s an experience. Through my work, I aim to immerse the audience in a dialogue between the digital and the tangible, challenging their perceptions and inviting them to explore new sensory landscapes.

My goal is to harness the precision and versatility of robotics to craft experiences that resonate on a personal level, leaving a lasting impact. In a world where digital and physical realms are increasingly blurred, my art seeks to be a testament to this evolving narrative, a narrative where technology and human emotion coexist and co-create.

In every piece, I endeavor to encapsulate this ethos – art that not only reflects our digital era but also paves the way for new forms of expression, transcending traditional boundaries and forging a unique path in the art world.

Human creativity is being questioned

Nowadays, we see a rise of artificial intelligence, and the media are trying to persuade us that we live in an era of thinking robots, but don’t get fooled. In my research of robotic drawing methodologies, I found out that I cannot create a robot capable of developing its drawing expressions. We witnessed the development of the artistic style of great painters, but we cannot expect this from robots. However, the emergent behaviour of algorithms can be mistaken for robot creativity, but again don’t get fooled. Human invention and creativity enable us to create a smart software architecture that allows machines to do their tasks. The robot draws because I envisioned this particular drawing style. In other words – Robots do art, people create.
